Rare honour for Sir George

ANDOVER MP Sir George Young is one of several MPs returning to the back-benches who is to be honoured for his services.

Prime minister David Cameron is to recommend to the Queen that the former Leader of the House of Commons be appointed to the Order of the Companions of Honour.

This is awarded for service of conspicuous national importance and is limited to only 65 people. Recipients wear the initials CH after their name.
