TIDWORTH TRAGEDY: Police studying CCTV footage from shops and buses
3:14pm Monday 3rd September 2012 in Andover
Police investigating the deaths of a man and two young boys in a flat at Tidworth are gathering CCTV images to build a picture of their movements in the seven days until their bodies were discovered.
Graham Gordon Anderson, aged 36, was found dead in the rented property in Sidbury Circular Road at lunchtime on Saturday. The bodies of the boys, aged 11 and three, were in another room. The deaths of the boys, who are believed to have been his children, are being treated as suspicious. Police are not looking for anyone else at this stage in connection with the incident.
The inquiry is being led by the Brunel Major Crime Investigation Team based in an incident room at Marlborough Police Station. Det Chief Inspector Ian Saunders, who is heading the enquiry, said today: “We are gathering CCTV footage from shops in Tidworth and from buses which run through the town.
“It is very important that we establish the movements of Graham Anderson and the boys between Saturday 25 August and Saturday 1 September.
“I am grateful to members of the public who have called us with possible sightings but we would like to renew our appeal for information.
“We know that Mr Anderson was a regular bus user so we would appeal to fellow passengers and bus drivers to come forward if they recall seeing him and the boys during last week. The post mortem examinations on the two boys are now under way in Southampton. Anyone who has information that may help police is asked to call Wiltshire Police on 101 and ask for the incident room, or if they wish to remain anonymous they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
