OFFICERS from Hampshire police will be hosting crime prevention information stands around Test Valley throughout March in a bid to help members of the public protect themselves against crime.
Andover Safer Neighbourhoods team will be at Wickes in Andover on Saturday 13 March and Thursday 18 March between 10am and 4pm.
Officers from the Safer Neighbourhoods team for Romsey will be in the B&Q store in Nursling on Saturday, March 20 and Wednesday, March 24 between 10am and 4pm.
As well as being able to pick up some advice on how to keep themselves and their property safe, shoppers will be able to take advantage of a 10 per cent discount which the stores are offering whilst the Safer Neighbourhood teams are present.
Test Valley's Crime Prevention Officer, Melody Manning, said: "This is a great chance for people to come and get some free specialist advice on how to avoid becoming a victim of crime.
"There are so many simple crime prevention measures that members of the public can take which could make all the difference. We are urging people to spare a few minutes to stop and talk to us and help us build communities within Test Valley where people feel safe and stay safe."
