AROUND 20 wounded soldiers who have been assisted by the Tidworth based charity Help for Heroes and the Headley Court rehabilitation centre will be guests of honour at the Status Quo concert in Tidworth later this month.
Tidworth Festival’s Baz Reilly, who will be MC at the event, said Status Quo are a popular draw with the military, especially after the song ‘You’re in the Army Now’ stormed the charts.
“We decided to do it as we are in a garrison town and the charity is on our doorstep and we have had quite a lot to do with them,” he said.
“It is a way of saying how proud we are of them and also thank you.”
Despite rumours that the show has sold out tickets are still available on the Tidworth festival website.
The festival also includes Music in the Air and Andover’s greatest exports, The Troggs.
