Tidworth baby flown to hospital

9:25am Friday 26th June 2009

A FIVE-month-old baby was flown to hospital yesterday evening after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest at Tidworth.

The baby was carried to the aircraft and taken to Salisbury District Hospital.

The baby’s mother had successfully carried cardio-pulmonary resuscitation before the helicopter’s arrival.

The Wiltshire air ambulance was called out just after 9.30pm – it is one of only a few in the country able to operate in the hours of darkness.

The helicopter returned to base at 11.10pm
