A MOTHER and daughter proudly showed off their prize-winning pooches this weekend.

Dog lovers Lynn Aylett and Emily Aylett-Bishop took their five pets to Newbury’s All About Dogs show for a “lovely day” where their beloved canines took home prizes on Sunday.

Mable the Chihuahua won best rescue, Bertie the whippet won best condition, best pedigree veteran and best in show of the pedigree class, and five-month-old Olive the whippet puppy got second best pedigree puppy.

Lynn said: “ It is a bit of fun but we really enjoy it, showing them and taking them out. It is just a lovely day out and we get to meet all the doggy people.”

The 61-year-old, who lives in Smannell, has been doing dog shows since she was 16 and set a family tradition rolling of judging shows which both herself and Emily do.

Emily, who lives in Enham, also runs a dog grooming business.
