A FOOT pain treatment company owner has received a £750 business grant from the council in recognition of her hard work in starting up the enterprise.

Stride Podiatry founder Sarah Ellis offers treatment plans for foot pain as well as injuries to the hips, back and legs that may be linked to poor posture.

Ms Ellis was awarded a Test Valley Borough Council business incentive grant.

She said: “Last year was manic but I’m really pleased that I can now work from home and at local venues.

“I love meeting new people and helping them with their medical needs. The grant from the council has really helped me to invest more into the early days of the business.”

The grants are available to anyone looking to set up their own business and have kept it going strong six months later.

Amport ward member Councillor Ben Few Brown said: “It’s great to see yet another small business thriving in Test Valley. Sarah has a vast amount of experience in the NHS and has been working part time as a podiatrist while starting up her own business.

“She’s put a lot of time and effort into the launch and I wish her all the best with her new venture.”
