A TRADITION was celebrated last week at an extra care facility.
Lion Oak Court residents hosted their annual 12th Night celebrations on Friday last week in a “truly magical evening” which marked the holiday known as Epiphany.
Rev Jill Bentall led the service with poems, songs and games, and Andover Carnival’s prince, princess and attendant also joined with the storytelling at the accommodation off of Salisbury Road.
On the 12th day after Christmas, Epiphany celebrates the arrival of the three wise men to deliver their gifts to baby Jesus.
Lion Oak Court resident Cyndi said: “The evening was most enjoyable, a lovely way to end the Christmas period.
“This is my first 12th Night as the new activities co-ordinator at Lion Oak.
“I would like to say a huge thank you to all involved for making it a truly magical evening.”
