THE fruits of a summer fundraising event have been handed over to a deserving cause.
In the summer Andover Golfing Society held its annual charity competition at Test Valley Valley Golf Club, with almost 70 golfers competing in groups of four for the Charity Shield.
The team representing Bewiser Insurance came out on top, but the real winners from the day were mental health charity Andover Mind, for which the combined profits raised through entries, sponsorship, an auction, raffle and fines, together with match funding from Barclays Bank, allowed a donation of £4,312 to be made.
Nick Hopson-Hill, left in picture, captain of Andover Golfing Society and Phil Cook, business relationship manager at Barclays Bank, Andover, gave a cheque to Debra Ramchurn, chief executive of Andover Mind.
