A LEISURE centre member is feeling extremely ‘happy after scooping a cash prize for taking part in a competition.

Rebecca Elliot, 24 from Fyfield, won the £1,000 prize by taking part in the Places Locker App Challenge at Andover Leisure Centre where customers were invited to log their workouts in the app and complete at least 10 exercise sessions in October and November 2017.

Winning the £1,000 prize enabled Rebecca to spend Christmas with her parents on the Isle of Wight and buy her family presents, which she otherwise would not have been able to do.

Ian Souch, manager at Andover Leisure Centre “This was a national App Challenge competition ran by Places for People Leisure, and we are pleased that an Andover Leisure Centre member has won the prize. Look out for our next App Challenge with prizes in the new year.”

Andover Leisure Centre is operated by Places for People Leisure on behalf of Test Valley Borough Council.

Places for People Leisure encourages people to get active and move more and launched the new Places Locker App in 2017 with the aim to promote new workouts, challenges to take part in and enable quick access to online bookings.
