THE High Street will be buzzing with a double dose of festive events this weekend.

The fun is set to kick off with the Christmas Lights Switch On tonight from 5pm to 7.30pm.

And on Sunday the High Street will be filled with a packed Andover Farmers’ and Crafts Market from 10am until 2pm.

The annual Christmas Lights Switch On, organised by Test Valley Borough Council, will have lots of local talent providing entertainment on the stage, including Portway Glee Club and even an appearance by Father Christmas himself.

The Breeze will compère the evening, and there will be rides and attractions, children’s face painting and food to keep guests warm.

The evening will culminate in the Christmas Lights switch on provided by Andover Town Council and followed by a firework display sponsored by The Chantry Centre.
