POLICE have launched a probe into the cause of a moped fire in Andover this morning.
Officers say they are investigating whether the vehicle, which was extinguished in Shepherds Spring Lane today, could have been stolen before being set alight.
A crew from Andover were called to the scene shortly after 8.20am.
Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the blaze soon after.
Police have confirmed they are now looking into the incident.
A spokesperson said: "We were called at 8.21am on Monday 15 May to a moped fire on Shepherds Spring Lane, Andover.
"We are looking into whether the moped had been stolen before being set alight."
