TWO national retailers and a mechanics will open up stores on a new retail park in Andover.

Topps Tiles and Magnet Kitchens have signed up to occupy units at the soon-to-be-completed Glenmore Trade Park, located on Greenwich Way, off Newbury Road.

National mechanics chain, Formula One Auto Centres, will also open up on the currently in construction trade park, which is due to open this summer.

Lambert Smith Hampton and Myddelton & Major are the letting agents for the scheme, which is being developed by Glenmore Commercial Estates.

Elise Evans, associate director, industrial, at Lambert Smith Hampton’s Southampton office, said: “The quality of the names which have already pre-let units is testament to the quality of the premises and its prime location.

“This is a huge investment in Andover and the construction of these trade counter and industrial units as a speculative development shows that there is growing confidence in the economy in the region.

“We are speaking to several more potential occupiers who are delighted that so much interest has already been shown in a scheme which will bring employment and opportunity to Andover.”

As previously reported by the Advertiser, plans for the new trade park were approved by Test Valley Borough Council last July.

The trade park is set to include eight trade counter units and could create up to 100 new jobs once full.

The estate is being built on land previously occupied by Integra Neurosciences before their move to a neighbouring plot in 2015 and is located within walking distance of both Tesco and Sainsbury supermarkets.

The site is also within touching distance of Enham Arch Retail Park, where occupiers include Halfords, Homebase, Next, Maplin Electronics and The Range.
