BOTH of the town's Argos' stores are set to shut down at the end of March as a new branch opens in Sainsbury's.
The Argos store in the Chantry Centre and in Homebase will be closing as a new digital store opens at the same time in Sainsbury's on Shepherds Spring Lane.
The retail giant has confirmed the closures and that staff will be transferring across to the new shop.
The move comes after Sainsbury’s recently acquired Home Retail Group, which owns Argos.
A spokesperson for Sainsbury’s said: “We are really thrilled to welcome Argos and its team to the Andover North store.
“The new shop is great news for customers, who are looking for easier, more convenient ways to shop. We’re looking forward to offering them an increased range of products at great value, all under one roof.”
They added the new shop will allow orders to be collected in store and will also have an eBay collection point so buyers can either collect their Ebay purchases or arrange for Argos to deliver them.
