VALLEY Leisure will reopen Breakers as a family friendly bowling alley - bringing up to 20 new jobs to the town.
The Bridge Street venue will be opened up as "Riverside Bowl" from February next year.
The facility will include eight bowling lanes and an American style diner.
It will also feature an interactive 3D glow-in-the-dark pitch-and-put course, described as only the second of its kind in the country.
Kevin Paterson, CEO of Valley Leisure, said: “This is an exciting new venture for Valley Leisure.
"We’re delighted to launch this new community facility and provide a bowling alley for Andover and the surrounding area, we will continue to have the community at the heart of the charity's future plans.”
The Bridge Street bowling alley has been vacant for over a year following the closure of previous venue, Breakers, in October 2015.
The community group run facility was previously both a bowling alley and a nightclub.
However Mr Paterson says the bar has been stripped back and the design adapted to allow a focus on families and older generations.
He added that the charity is making a "significant investment" in the new facility.
The charity has also announced that the facility will be home to a new bowling league and will host birthday parties and corporate events.
