POLICE have made an appeal after a moped rider sustained serious injuries following a collision with a lorry on the A303 earlier this week.
Officers were called to reports of the crash on the westbound carriageway, near Buck Services at around 7.50pm on Wednesday 16 November.
The female moped rider, 22, suffered a head injury and was taken to Southampton General Hospital.
Her condition was described as serious but not life-threatening.
Investigations into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing.
Police are asking anyone who might have seen a blue Mercedes lorry and an orange Peugeot moped to contact them.
Sergeant Paul White from the Roads Policing Unit said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who saw the collision but has not yet spoken to us.
"I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw either of the two vehicles prior to the collision.
"Please contact me on 101 quoting 44160433469.”
