TWO TK Maxx thieves have both been sentenced to two months in prison after admitting to stealing goods worth more than £300.
Fraser Charlie Williams, 22, of Romney Road, Augusta Park, pleaded guilty to stealing four handbags from the retail store worth £249.96 on October 1 when he appeared in Basingstoke Magistrates' Court recently.
Jon Edward Ball, of Turin Court, admitted to stealing three tops of an unknown value on one occasion in September and a jacket, polo top and jogging bottoms worth £44.97 the following day.
The 36-year-old also pleaded guilty to stealing a number of fragrance box sets from Boots and a bottle of Jack Daniels from Tesco.
Williams and Ball were both sentenced to 56 days in prison because of their prolific offending and ordered to pay victim surcharges of £115.
A third defendant, George Frederick Carr, of no fixed address, also admitted to stealing a purse and bag valued at £64.98 from the Churchill Retail Park store on the same date as Williams.
The 60-year-old escaped a prison sentence and was instead fined £40 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £20 Crown Prosecution costs.
