AN ANDOVER man was fined £800 and given a community order after being found guilty of assault.
Matthew Laurence Lewis pleaded not guilty to assaulting his victim by beating them in Andover on Monday 6 June when he appeared in Basingstoke Magistrates Court recently.
The 32-year-old, of Weyhill Road, was found guilty and was given a community order to take part in a rehabilitation activity requirement and carry out 80 hours of unpaid work.
Lewis was also fined a total of £800 including £150 in compensation and costs of £650.
