A RETIRED vicar has denied raping a schoolgirl more than 40 years ago.
Frederick Williams, 74, of Central Street, Ludgershall is on trial at Salisbury Crown Court and faces nine charges including two counts of rape, four of indecent assault and three of indecency with a child under 16.
All the charges relate to the same alleged victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons. The alleged offences happened between 1971 and 1974.
The trial continues.
