A MAN in his 50s is in hospital with serious injuries following a crash between two lorries on the A303.
The incident happened around 11.55am on Monday 15 August on the A303 westbound near to the turning for Overton and Micheldever station.
Two small lorries were involved in the crash and the road is currently closed westbound.
It is likely to remain shut until later this afternoon.
The eastbound carriageway was temporarily closed folowing the crash but has since been reopened.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
In particular they would like to hear from the driver of a tractor they believe was driving on the carriageway shortly before the crash.
Police think he may be an important witnesses.
Witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting ‘Operation Notes’.
