THE Museum of Army Flying has embarked on a development programme to ‘secure its future for generations to come’.
Phase 1 consists of the construction of a memorial to commemorate all those who have died in service of British Army flying.
The memorial, which is expected to be in the form of a wall – according to the museum – ‘will be a powerful reminder that behind the historical events are stories of courage and sacrifice involving some 5,200 brave individuals over nearly 140 years’.
The museum archive team are working on verifying the names.
The provisional lists of names can now be viewed on the Museum of Army Flying website armyflying.com/support-us/memorial-wall.
