FORECASTERS have once again predicted that heavy rains are set to batter Hampshire.

A weather warning for the county has been issued for the third time this week and has been in place from 10am, and will run until 10pm today.

The Met Office says that showers will develop and turn into downpours throughout the day.

A statement said: "As on preceding days some locations will miss these downpours, but please be aware of possible localised flooding and disruption to travel where they do occur.

"Lightning could be an additional hazard."

The same warning is in place from 10am until 10pm tomorrow.
