FIFTEEN businesses and two homes were targeted by burglars in Andover over the last two weeks - police have reported.

Hampshire Constabulary say that there have been a total of 18 reported burglaries in northern Test Valley since the beginning of May, with all but one taking place in the Andover area.

Fifteen burglaries took place within non-dwelling properties in Andover, with the majority taking place within the town centre.

Three of these took place in the High Street, including an attempted break-in at Barker Son and Isherwood (click to read the full story).

There was also a break-in at a Charlton Road coffee shop.

An offender entered through an insecure side door, tampered with a coffee machine and opened cupboard doors.

However nothing was stolen.

Only one burglary took place outside of the Andover area in the first two weeks of May, with one incident recorded in Stockbridge.

The offender broke a property in Stockbridge High Street on the afternoon of Saturday 14 May, entering an office and stealing money from a safe.

There were two domestic burglaries reported in May, with one taking place in Andover and the other in Enham Alamein.

Anyone who has any information on a recent burglary should contact Hampshire Constabulary on 101.
