BUILDING work has begun on a new 50,000 square foot distribution warehouse in Andover.

The development, named Evolution 50, is due to open in summer this year.

The site, based at the Walworth Business Park, will feature four full-height loading doors, a large loading area and more than 100 car parking spaces.

A fully fitted office is also included.

The development is part of a joint venture between Test Valley Borough Council and Kier Property to rejuvenate Walworth Business Park.

Economic Portfolio Holder, Councillor Peter Giddings, said: “It is great to see that work has started on this jointly funded warehouse.

"The Council is committed to developing the local economy and this new unit will provide an excellent opportunity for a large company to join the thriving business park.”

Kier Property Senior Development Manager, George Shepherd, commented: “Evolution 50 is an exciting development and will complement other schemes occupied by Twinings, Booker, Abel & Cole, Ocado and Le Creuset.”

Any business interested in buying or renting the unit should contact Test Valley Borough Council on 01264 368000.
