AN AUGUSTA Park man has been jailed for seven days after stealing an expensive drill and being caught with cannabis.
Dean Alexander Richardson, of Romney Road, committed the offences on the same day in November.
On January 14 he pleaded guilty to stealing a £180 Matika drill from Wickes in Andover and indicated a plea of guilty of possessing cannabis, a class B drug.
Magistrates in Basingstoke jailed him for seven days "because the offence was aggravated by the defendant's record of previous offending".
Richardson, 33, must also pay £80 in victim surcharges.
