A PILGRIMS Way resident caught drink-driving in Andover town centre has been fined and lost his licence.
Greg Smith, 20, was caught driving a BMW on East Street on October 29. He had 48 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, above the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.
He pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined £415 by magistrates in Basingstoke. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £42, CPS costs of £85 and court charges of £150.
Smith has been disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.
