HISTORIC sex abuse charges have been brought against a retired vicar from Ludgershall.
Fredrick Williams, 74, of Central Street, Ludgershall, appeared in Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
He faced seven charges of sexual abuse — including indecent assault on a girl under 14 years and rape of a girl under 16 — dating back to the early 1970s.
Williams did not enter a plea at the hearing and the case has been referred to the Crown Court due to the serious nature of the charges.
