A TEST Valley resident has been ordered to pay £125 in fines and court fees after three of his sheep went astray near the A343.
Alan Hammond, from The Hill, Hustbourne Tarrant, was found guilty of the offence, which is contrary to section 155 of the Highways Act, at a trial at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court earlier this month.
Hammond was fined £20 for being the keeper of the three sheep, which wandered on the side of the busy carriageway in February.
Hammond was also ordered to pay a further £105 in victim surcharge and court costs.
