TWO men were arrested on drugs charges following a child concern report in Augusta Park.

Officers were authorised to force entry to a property in Olympic Park on 18 June after receiving reports regarding the welfare of a young child.

Social services were contacted after the child reported to school about being assaulted by two men at the property.

Police then contacted the mother who was also frightened to go to the address because of two men there.

She then authorised them to force entry where they found four knives set out on the dining table and the two men refused to leave.

They were later arrested and subsequently bailed on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

Sergeant Steve Parker from Test Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "The area is becoming known to us by different people for allegations of drug dealing activity."

"If you are concerned about allegations of drug dealing, keep us informed so that we can take some action."

It is understood that the child is now in foster care.

If you have seen drug dealing activity in the vicinity, contact Andover Police on 101.
