Andover Genealogy Society
THE April meeting of the Andover Genealogy Society was a member’s ‘Sharing and Learning’ evening.
Members sat around in small groups learning about Scotland’s people, roots magic, family tree maker, census returns, Irish records, Surrey parish records on fiche, manorial records and wills & probate, all without the internet.
This gave their newer members an idea of the information available to them and there was a lively debate. Many questions were asked and answered during the course of the evening.
The society hold their meetings on the second Thursday of each month at the Weyhill Fairground Hall with a 7.15pm for 7.30pm start. At the next meeting on 14 May their speaker will be Les Mitchinson who will be talking about ‘Getting Organised’.
