A NORTH Hampshire barn was left in ruins last night after a massive blaze, fuelled by a 1,000 litre tank of diesel, raged for over four hours.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 7.30pm on Tuesday after the fire erupted in a two storey brick barn at Horris Farm, Burghclere.
30 fire fighters attempted to tackle the blaze which was complicated after a nearby fuel tank, containing the diesel, burst into flames.
Fire fighters from across the area, including Whitchurch and Kingsclere, were called to assist, using compressed air foam jets and four main jets to extinguish the fire.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue haven't reported how the blaze started but have confirmed that the tank did rupture at some point during the fire.
