THE FAMILY of a missing man have revealed that he has now made contact with the family - but his location still remains unknown.

Tidworth resident, Arron Thorpe, has been missing from his home for over six days and had previously not had contact with his family since the early hours of Wednesday 18 February.

He was last seen at the Spar on Beech Hill Road at around 11.30am on Wednesday.

Friends and family members recently took to Facebook to aid their search and told the Advertiser they were "worried sick" about him.

However the family have said today that Mr Thorpe has recently made contact and spoke to his increasingly anxious mother last night during a brief phone conversation.

Speaking on behalf of the family, close friend Katie Sugden, said: "He phoned his Mum late last night to say he was ok but he did not say where he was.

"We are really pleased to know he is well but we still desperately want to know where he is."

Several people have claimed to have seen Mr Thorpe walking around the Ludgershall area with one sighting by the Wellington Academy and another on Simonds Road.

However Hampshire Constabulary have not been able to confirm these as official sightings as no contact was made with Mr Thorpe.

Anyone with information on Mr Thorpe's whereabouts should contact the Police using 101 or Katie Sugden on 07919861340.
