A CALL was made to Andover police asking officers to help get a young girl into bed.

The incredible incident was revealed by the force on Twitter last night.

It tweeted: "We have received a call asking police to attend as a 7-year-old would not go to bed.

"Policing matter?"

RoyJones-of-Andover replied: "I'm guessing you raced over there with lullaby music instead of sirens?" The police retweeted his suggestion.

Later tweets by the force referred to 'other concerns' raised, but did not specify what they were or whether it was this incident they referred to.

The Advertiser has asked the police for clarification.
