A BRAZEN burglar is said to have broken into an Andover house using a credit card to unlock the door - then ransacked it while the occupants slept upstairs.

The thief swiped phones, credit cards and cash from the downstairs rooms from a house on the Spanish estate in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It happened between 2am and 8.30am.

Residents are being warned to keep their valuables out of sight and stored upstairs, and to lock all windows and doors every night.

Some of the stolen items were reportedly later found on the pavement in Colenzo Drive.
