BUDDING entrepreneurs from an Andover school have donated the profits from their business enterprises to a local hospice.
GCSE business studies students at John Hanson Community School were set a challenge to take £1 and invest it in some way to make the highest profit possible.
From £1 seed investment groups of Year 10 students turned those seeds into £107.50 profit. One student, through buying and selling of goods on the Internet, made a return of £16.
A group of three used their investment to purchase a car for £1 and then sold it on for £80.
While others made smaller profits, all entered willingly into the project.
The students then decided that they would donate their profits to the Countess of Brecknock Hospice.
Lyn Pryer, business studies teacher, said: “It was a fantastic achievement and clearly some budding entrepreneurs to look out for in the future.”
