LEAVERS from an independent Andover school were reunited to celebrate their achievements.
Pupils who departed Rookwood School earlier this year gathered at St Mary’s Church in the town for a glamorous ceremony.
The event, which started with a review of Rookwood’s academic year from headmistress, Mrs Louise Whetstone, was followed by an address from the Mayor of Test Valley, Councillor Jan Lovell.
Prizes were then handed out to the school’s former pupils, 98 per cent of whom gained five A*-C grades at GCSE in the summer.
That meant competition for the Brammah Shield award for all-round achievement was fierce, but the award was finally given to 16-year-old Michiko Head, who gained 11 GCSEs at A*.
Other major prizes presented included the Citizenship Cup and Head Prefect Prizes to George Shrapnell and Emma Ingram.
Mrs Whetstone thanked all the pupils, parents and staff.
