BUSINESSES and organisations in Ludgershall are to become safe havens for residents after town chiefs signed up to a council initiative.
Ludgershall Town Council has agreed to sign up to the Safe Place Scheme being run by Wiltshire Council.
The project is aimed at helping vulnerable people in the community, particularly dementia sufferers, by training people to provide support and guidance for anyone coming in needing help.
Organisations who sign up to the scheme will be given a card to place in the window advertising that it is a safe place to be and the person will be able to wait there and get the help that they need.
