TEA and biscuits were the order of the day at a Red Rice school as teachers, pupils and the local community came together to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
Farleigh School collected £5,540 at its annual Macmillan Coffee Morning, which formed part of a nationwide charity day to raise funds for cancer care services across the UK.
The event saw more than 50 stalls sell an array of products from gifts and clothes to bags, toys and jewellery, while Farleigh friends made cakes, biscuits, jams and chutneys on a colourful home produce stand.
Stallholders were asked to contribute a percentage of their takings.
Sir George Young, MP for North West Hampshire, and Lady Young were among the visitors on the day..
Father Simon Everson, headmaster at Farleigh School said: “I would like to thank everyone who supported the event. A special thank you must go to our many parent volunteers.”
