ANDOVER’S newest shop was given a royal seal of approval when it officially opened its doors this week.
The town’s carnival princess Aimee Coombs was on hand, with attendants Melissa Mae Ori and Romilly O’Neal, to open Charlie’s, in Waterloo Court, which is being run by former market trader Jane Fowler.
The shop sells reconditioned furniture, clothing, hand-made crafts, purses and handbags.
After a successful trial at the Pop-Up Shop in London Street, Jane decided to partner up with her daughter Emma Speed and take the plunge with the shop unit.
“I have been doing markets in Andover, but this is my first shop,” she said.
“I’m both scared and excited about the shop. I have put all my own money into setting this up.”
The shop is open from 10am until 6pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
