OPERA and Ballet International present Madama Butterfly at The Anvil on Sunday, 5 October at 7.30pm.
Starring Korean soprano Elena Dee and Japanese soprano Miki Mori, Madama Butterfly is the heart wrenching story of a beautiful Japanese girl who falls in love with an American naval lieutenant.
This traditional production of Puccini’s masterpiece boasts exquisite sets, including a spectacular Japanese garden and fabulous costumes with antique wedding kimonos from Japan designed by the renowned Ukrainian designer Nadia Shvets from the National Ukrainian opera of Kharkiv.
