SPARSHOLT College kicks off its careers advice programme on 4 October from 10am to 3pm.

The entire campus will be open, including the new multi-million pound motor vehicle and agriculture engineering workshops and the sports centre.

Two brand new courses in childcare (outdoor play and forest education) will be lauched along with nature, wildlife and action photography courses.

Current student Rebekah Ford said: “The beauty of studying at Sparsholt College is we are being trained to the highest standards on an incredible campus in industry equivalent facilities to do a job we will love.

“I know that when I leave college and start work the mix of hands-on and classroom based training will have provided me with both technical know-how and practical, relevant experience.”

Prospective students can look round the new motor vehicle and agriculture engineering department with its five workshops dedicated to motor vehicle maintenance skills and agricultural engineering, and a further workshop set up for welding and fabrication metal work.

The new sporting complex boasts a 20m climbing wall, a fully sprung multipurpose sports hall, a large fully equipped gym and an exercise studio.

The campus facilities also include an equine centre and the college has a 400 hectare farm with sheep barn, pig unit, beef barn and a dairy unit.

The college offers courses in agriculture, animal management, arboriculture and forestry, conservation management, equine studies, fishery studies, game and wildlife, horticulture and garden design, motor vehicle, public services and sports.
