LUDGERSHALL-based Castledown Radio is holding a ‘Recruiting Volunteers’ open evening on Tuesday, 30 September.

The recruitment drive will be held at The Wellington Academy campus in Ludgershall from 7pm-9pm.

The radio station, run on a not for profit basis by the local community, supports local businesses, charities, schools and groups by attending local events with the Really Red Radio Roadshow, running discos and promoting events on air that are going on within the community.

Covering the Tidworth Community Area, the rural radio station is looking to get even more involved with projects and training and needs more people to join the team to achieve this.

They are looking for people from all walks of life to volunteer.

Experience is not essential as training will be provided. All they ask for is a can-do attitude and a desire to be part of a team with a high level of commitment.

All volunteers are valued and any time they can give, large or small, is appreciated.

There is a variety of roles to get involved with, from sound engineers, IT support, reporters, administration, PR and communications to fundraising.
