FORMER pupils of Andover Grammar School got together 60 years after they first met.

Although the class of 1954 has met up before, the school friends decided this will be the last time a reunion is held.

Some 54 former pupils and partners met at Esseborne Manor Hotel, in Hurstbourne Tarrant, on Wednesday, 13 August for a meal and a catch-up.

Although many still live in Andover, some travelled from as far as Australia and South Africa.

Ann Agnew-Brown, who helped to organise the reunion, said: “It was absolutely brilliant, everybody enjoyed it.

“We had a wonderful meal, they really did us proud, it was brilliant.”

She added: “I said this will be our last one as in another ten years we will all be in zimmer frames and walking sticks.

“I couldn’t go through it again – I have had seven months of constant phone calls and researching.”
