ANDOVER Police are appealing for a woman to contact officers after an indecent exposure was reported in the town.

A man was seen standing in a bush alongside the footpath underneath Northern Avenue near ‘The Range’ store on the Enham Arch retail park.

He reportedly walked out onto the footpath, blocking the way of a woman, and exposing himself to her. The woman then walked away. She has not been identified at the moment.

Initial enquiries have established that there were several other members of the public walking along the footpath nearby at the time of the exposure, which happened between 2.45pm and 2.55pm on Wednesday, 20 August, 2014.

Investigating officer PC Chris Saunby said: “We’re keen to speak with the woman approached and affected. This appeal is for her to contact police.

“A further line of enquiry is encouraging other people on the footpath to talk to us as potential witnesses.

“This was a single isolated incident, but we are treating the report seriously and investigating to confirm the identity of the victim and the offender.”
