THE Queen of Hearts was one of the special guests at a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party which took place at The Tea Cosy in Hurstbourne Tarrant on Saturday.

The charity event, which raised over £200 for Marie Curie Cancer Care, saw the tea room transformed into a wonderland with craft activities, face painting, a photo booth, a raffle and a whole host of cakes.

Owner Jenni Danks said: “It was absolutely fantastic, we had lots of children dressed up.

“We were a little concerned about the rain that morning, but by the time the event started it was fine.

“We had the most amazing cakes, it was brilliant.

“I think we’ll definitely do more I reckon, maybe for Hallowe’en which would be good.”
