ACTOR and comedian Hal Cruttenden will be at Andover’s The Lights with stand-up show Tough Luvvie.

The comedian will stop off at the venue on Thursday, 18 September as part of his latest tour.

Following stand out television performances on Live at The Apollo, Have I Got News For You, The Royal Variety performance and Mock The Week, Hal is being strongly tipped as the next big thing.

Footballers, Facebook and food are just three of the topics Hal devours with his unique mix of camp and straight, warm and catty humour.

After training at the Central School of Speech and Drama, Hal’s acting career includes a variety of roles on television and in film and theatre work.

His big breakthrough in stand-up came with his nomination for the Perrier Newcomer Award at the 2002 Edinburgh Festival for his solo show Hal, followed by a highly successful run the following year of his second show To Hal and Back, which was also performed at the Soho Theatre in London.

His 2008 show Climb Every Molehill was critically acclaimed but Tough Luvvie has been described as his best show yet.
