A ZIPLINE in Overton that has fallen into a state of disrepair could be fixed in the coming weeks.
Overton Parish councillors agreed in a meeting that £2,750 should be made available to repair the zipline at Edward Kersley Playing Field.
The cost of replacing it was also discussed, but was quoted as £10,000 which all councillors felt was far too much.
Cllr Peter Baker, said: “The cost of that is ginormous, the posts are about 10ft high, how can they justify all that money?”
He also questioned why the zipline needs repair: “Why after this short time have they gone rotten?”
