WILTSHIRE Police are currently experiencing technical difficulties involving both their 999 and 101 call systems.

As a result of the difficulties currently being experienced, all 999 emergency calls are being routed to Gloucestershire Police. However, all calls to the 101 number are not presently being connected to call handlers.

Wiltshire Police are asking the public to only use the 999 number if a call is an emergency. For non-emergency calls, the public are urged not to call 101 as this service is temporarily out of use. BT are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible and further updates will be provided via the media when appropriate.

In the meantime Wiltshire Police are urging residents to stay safe and to check on elderly and other vulnerable residents within their communities.
