PEOPLE who want to nominate a local star for a prestigious Pride of Andover award need to act quickly as the nominations window is about to close.
The closing date is Thursday, 31 July and until that time nominations can be made online at prideofandoverawards.org.uk or by calling Barbara Long on 01264 354731 for a printed version.
The awards are sponsored by many local businesses, including main sponsor David Mellor Jewellers and Barclay’s Corporate, which sponsors host Esther Rantzen’s fee (which she donates to Childline).
Nomination categories this year include: a young persons award, fundraiser of the year, a contribution to the arts award (such as music, art, dance or theatre), a carer’s award, the good neighbour award, a health award (sponsored by Simply Health), an award for courage or bravery, teacher of the year, a citizenship award and an environment champion.
