A NEW parish councillor for Overton has been elected following a co-option at a meeting.
Karen Davies, who lives in Lower Whitehill, Micheldever, was voted on to the council after she made a passionate speech.
She said that she is a supporter of Overton and businesses in the village, and her work in the public sector means that she understands rules and processes.
She said: “I think I am a good negotiator and I think I am very fair-minded, and most of all people should have a fair say on what happens in their community and those opportunities for people to voice their opinions should be made as open as possible.”
